Grammar checker

Catch agreement errors, repeated words, a/an, and mix-ups like its/it’s while you write.

Spell checker

Underline misspellings such as recieve or seperate and replace them in one click.

Punctuation & tone

Fix extra spaces and common punctuation slips. See whether you sound formal, friendly, or urgent.

ESL & dialects

US, UK, Canadian, and Australian English. Optional Chinese checking for bilingual writers.

A writing assistant that stays in Chrome

Most writing happens in the browser: email, tickets, docs, and comments. A grammar checker Chrome extension checks the field you are in, so you do not copy text into another website.

  1. Install Write Lens in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click any text field. A small badge appears on larger editors.
  3. Click an underline to replace, ignore, or add a word to your dictionary.

Spell check as you type

Write Lens runs a local spell checker first, then can send the current field to LanguageTool for deeper grammar if you keep cloud checking on. Turn it off anytime in the popup. Hide the floating button if you only want underlines.

Chrome Web Store

The public listing is being prepared. Until it is live, load the unpacked extension from the project folder. After approval, this button will open the store page.
